Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 02/03/2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made through www.theootsider.co.uk.
By placing an order with The Ootsider, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About Us
The Ootsider is a UK-based Community Interest Company (CIC).
Registered address:

2. Products
All products sold by The Ootsider are made to order. Each item is produced specifically for the customer after an order has been placed.
Due to the handmade nature of our products, slight variations in colour, stitching, or finishing may occur. These variations are part of the handmade process and do not constitute faults.
3. Orders
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase goods subject to these Terms.
An order is accepted once you receive an order confirmation email.
Once production of a made-to-order item has begun, orders cannot be cancelled or amended.
4. Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.
Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering.
5. Production & Lead Times
All Ootsider robes are made to order.
Production time will vary depending on current order volumes.
We aim to complete production within up to 14 days, although this timeframe may vary during periods of high demand.
Production times are estimates and may occasionally change due to factors outside our control.
6. Delivery
Once your order has been completed, it will be shipped using Royal Mail Tracked 24 delivery.
This service provides tracked delivery within the UK once the item has been dispatched.
As each robe is made to order, production may take up to 2 weeks before dispatch, depending on order volume.
Delivery timeframes begin after dispatch, not from the date of purchase.
If you require your order by a specific date, please contact us prior to ordering and we will do our best to confirm whether we can meet your timeframe.
7. Returns & Refunds
Because all Ootsider robes are made to order, they are produced specifically for each customer.
Under UK consumer regulations, the standard 14-day cancellation period does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised items.
For this reason, we cannot accept returns for change of mind once production has begun.
Faulty or Incorrect Items
Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
If you receive an item that is: faulty, damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 14 days of delivery at info@theootsider.co.uk, including photographic evidence of the issue.
Where a fault or error is confirmed, we will provide an appropriate resolution in accordance with UK consumer law, which may include: repair, replacement or refund.
8. Care Instructions
All Ootsider changing robes must be cared for as follows:
• Hand wash only at 40°C
• Use soap flakes only (do not use standard laundry detergent)
• Do not bleach
• Do not dry clean
• Do not iron
• Do not tumble dry
Failure to follow these care instructions may result in damage to the garment and will not be considered a manufacturing fault.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, designs, branding, and materials displayed on this website remain the intellectual property of The Ootsider and may not be reproduced without permission.
10. Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the goods purchased.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.
